About Us

Cinema Rendezvous is a Chennai based organization promoting cinema, art and culture. Cinema Rendezvous is a celebration of friendships forged over film discussions in its film club, film festivals & filmmaking awards.

It is a community activity by the registered non profit Cinema Rendezvous Trust. The CR Trust is involved in social endeavors through humanitarian, educational & art awareness programs. The trust’s charitable activities prioritise educational aid to the needy along with medical & natural calamity assistance. Cinema Rendezvous Trust comes under the activities of the registered not-for-profit Trusts which are entitled to 80G tax exemptions.

Cinema Rendezvous initiated the Bala Kailasam Memorial Award in 2015 which is an annual recognition and cash prize to encourage national-level excellence in documentary and filmmaking that impacts society.
