Cinema Rendezvous is a Chennai-based organization promoting cinema, art, and culture. Cinema Rendezvous celebrates friendships forged over film discussions in its film club, film festivals & filmmaking awards.

It is a community activity by the registered non-profit Cinema Rendezvous Trust. The CR Trust is involved in social endeavors through humanitarian, educational & art awareness programs. The trust’s charitable activities prioritize educational aid to the needy along with medical & natural calamity assistance. Cinema Rendezvous Trust comes under the activities of the registered not-for-profit Trusts entitled to 80G tax exemptions.

Workshops on film acting, scripting and film appreciation with renowned names from the industry, have given nuanced insights into the art & crafts of the trade for upcoming creative artistes.They refresh established professionals’ creative edge too.

Cinema Rendezvous initiated the Bala Kailasam Memorial Award in 2015 which is an annual recognition and cash prize to encourage national-level excellence in documentary filmmaking that impacts society.

The film club is popular for its monthly screening sessions and interactions. The members enjoy various genres of films and discuss varying points of view.
Festival

Festival

Film festivals celebrity filmmaker & the art of cinema are periodically conducted. Cinema Minima was a short films collection from upcoming filmmaker’s of Chennai. Other themed short film contests are also conducted.
